2. User Accounts

You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any security breach or unauthorized use.

3. Event Creation and Responsibility

Users may create and manage events through Go Gatho. You retain ownership of the content you submit, but you grant Go Gatho a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and process your content solely to operate the Service.

You are fully responsible for the events you create, including event safety, legality, compliance with Australian laws, venue rules, alcohol regulations, age restrictions, and any public health requirements.

Go Gatho does not organise, supervise, or assume responsibility for any in-person event. We only provide a digital invitation platform.

4. Prohibited Events

You agree not to create events involving or promoting:

• Violence, hate, or harassment
• Illegal drug sales or distribution
• Weapons, explosives, or dangerous activities
• Fraud, scams, or misleading activities
• Adult content involving minors
• Any unlawful or unsafe activity under Australian law

We may remove events or suspend accounts at our discretion.

5. User Conduct

• Do not harass, threaten, or harm users.
• Do not impersonate others.
• Do not upload malware or disrupt the platform.
• Do not scrape or collect user data without consent.
• Do not send spam or unauthorized messages.

6. User-Generated Content & Copyright

By uploading content, you represent that you own or have permission to use everything you submit. You grant Go Gatho permission to host and display your content solely for providing the Service.

We may remove content that violates copyright or these Terms at our discretion.

7. Copyright & Takedowns

If you believe content on Go Gatho infringes your copyright, you may submit a takedown request. We comply with legitimate copyright notices and may remove or restrict content. Repeated infringement may result in account termination.

8. Guest Information & Privacy

When adding guests, you confirm you have their consent to share their contact details with Go Gatho. You agree to use guest information only for event-related purposes and in accordance with applicable privacy laws.

9. Communication & Email Consent

By creating an account, you agree to receive essential emails such as event invitations, RSVP notifications, account verification, and password resets. Marketing emails are optional and require separate opt-in.

10. Payments

If Go Gatho introduces paid features or third-party payment processing, additional terms will apply. Refunds, disputes, and processing are subject to the policies of the payment provider.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for violations of these Terms or harmful behavior. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately.

12. Disclaimers & Event Liability

The Service is provided “AS IS” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted under Australian law:

• Go Gatho is not liable for incidents or injuries occurring at events.
• We do not verify user identities, venues, or event safety.
• You attend any event at your own risk.

13. Limitation of Liability

Go Gatho and its team are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including personal injury, data loss, profit loss, or service interruption. Our maximum liability is limited to the amount you paid to use the Service, if any.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Significant changes will be posted here with an updated date. Continued use of Go Gatho constitutes acceptance.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes will be resolved under Australian jurisdiction.
